Oh Yea! I Almost Forgot!

Posted October 21st, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

It’s a good thing my memory is not completely shot, because I just remembered to tell you that the world will end today! Or already ended this morning! Or is about to end after supper tonight. Or something! Harold Camping, the 90-year-old leader of Family Radio International, stirred a global frenzy when he predicted that [...]

Trapped like a Rat!

Posted October 20th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

Just like Saddam Hussein, another Middle-East leader spent his last few minutes of freedom hiding in a hole in the ground! Moammar Gadhafi, like Hussein, figuratively slid back under the rock he came out from, and paid the price for his sins over the last forty two years. According to reports from multiple sources, Gadhafi [...]

The worries of the 1%.

Posted October 19th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

Over the course of my life I have run into people who are so smart, talented, pleasant, kind, good natured, funny and exuberant. And I have stood in complete awe of them! I have also seen people who are so ignorant, vile, corrupt, shit for brains/stupid as a doorknob – that they make me want [...]

Canada proves to be VERY expensive!

Posted October 19th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

An American woman got the shock of her life when her cell phone company hit her with a $201,000 dollar bill, after her brother left his phone on during a trip to Canada – way out of her plan’s service region. According to WSVN-TV, Celina Aarons’ bill reached the ridiculous level because of a whole [...]

Spare Change!

Posted October 18th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

Yesterday my wife found out she had to take the car in for repairs, and then take the bus home. Not that day……next Friday! She walked around the house all day yesterday in a state of vague distraction, and when it continued this morning I finally ignored my better judgment and asked her what was [...]

There’s hope for the younger generation yet!

Posted October 15th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

My 21 year old daughter is a constant source of amazement to me, and I have never been more proud of her than today when I read her Facebook page: “What is going on with OWS?? I’ve been watching interviews with protesters and they don’t even know what they are protesting! What is the end [...]

Saturday Morning Confusion! Or, No getting it right!

Posted October 15th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

By LORRIE GOLDSTEIN, QMI Agency The problem with complex issues is that they’re, well, complex. Take the stand of Tea Party protesters against Big Government and the Occupy Wall Street crowd against Big Business. Many Tea Partiers condemn Occupy Wall Streeters as dirty, communist-loving hippies, while many Occupy Wall Streeters accuse Tea Partiers of being [...]

Why I hate the Left as much as the Right!

Posted October 14th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

Dear Readers; Although I have shown my distaste for the far Right on many occasions, that doesn’t mean I have any great love for the far Left either! Globe and Mail reporter Graeme Smith made a ludicrous and asinine statement about the Taliban, and we can only thank God that Michael Petrou of MacLean’s magazine [...]

Crumbling Canadian Sovereignty!

Posted October 10th, 2011 by Allan W Janssen

By Amir Alwani http://potentnews.wordpress.com/2011/10/05/crumbling-canadia… I’m sick of people thinking politics is some sort of hobby, like we can just choose to decide it doesn’t have to do with our life, death, happiness and freedom. Looking at the mechanics that underlie our world is not something I do out of boredom. To me, it seems self-evident [...]
