DIEPPE, N.B. – A New Brunswick man who reported his utility trailer stolen earlier this month was quick to call police when he spotted it being towed behind a stranger’s vehicle on the weekend.
RCMP say they received a call from the man on Sunday afternoon.
Officers later intercepted the suspect vehicle at a gas station in Dieppe.
Police say the trailer was identified by the owner at the scene.
As well, officers seized a small quantity of marijuana, 1,300 contraband cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.
A 41-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Albert Mines, are scheduled to appear in Moncton provincial court on Nov. 18.
